Tell us about yourself and what you do at Lighthouse Personnel

Hi 👋 I’m Donna, and I’m a Recruitment Consultant at Lighthouse Personnel.  When I’m not busy in the crazy and wonderful world of recruitment I am a busy mum and step mum and you will often find me at a dance class or competition with my dance diva daughter. I am also planning my wedding later this year (139 days to go) so life is very full on.

What stood out to you about LHP?

Prior to starting at LHP I was working for myself as a Virtual Assistant and Lighthouse had been one of my clients so I already understood the culture and values of the business and knew the team, so for me there really was no other choice when it came to returning to recruitment. LHP is about building long lasting relationships and providing an honest service to clients and candidates and that is what I believe recruitment should be about.

What do you like about the team?

It may sound cliché but if Carlsberg did teams . . . 😉 In all honesty, it’s a fabulous team, supportive, fun, energetic, you name it. Everyone gets on really well and looks out for each other. The camaraderie in the office is great, whether it’s us all singing along to the songs that are playing or when we have games or events like our Office Olympics, never a dull moment. We do also work very hard and we all want to do well, not only for ourselves but also for the success of the business as a whole.  #TeamLHPRocks

What are you most excited about on this journey with LHP?

Watching the growth and successes of the team and business and all the laughs we will no doubt have along the way. I’m looking forward to continuing to build my own client base and meeting with and understanding the individual needs of the businesses I work with.

How have your first few months been?

It’s recruitment so it’s obviously been a rollercoaster 🎢 – but I am very lucky to work with a supportive team and the highs have definitely outweighed the lows.  I’ve been working with some fantastic businesses trying to support them with their recruitment as well as getting out and about doing networking and meeting some great candidates too. Recruitment is hard work and it definitely has it’s challenges, but it can also be so much fun when you find the right team – and lucky for me I did just that 💡🏠
