Technical Purchasing/Sales Engineer
Our client is a multinational company supplying spare parts to heavy industry around the world since 1981. The company purchases spare parts from European and North American manufacturers, and sells them to customers throughout Asia, Africa, Australasia, and South America. An opportunity exists for a Purchasing and Sales Senior to join the team at our clients UK Head Office.

Combined purchasing and internal sales role in a fast-paced office environment. Own transport is essential to get to and from the workplace. This role would be suited to someone looking to gain valuable experience in the field of international trade.
Job Duties
Duties (to include but are not limited too):
· Obtaining pricing from suppliers
· Negotiating on price and terms of business
· Preparing quotations for customers
· Placing and handling purchase orders
· General customer service-related duties

Person Specification:
· A technical background with the ability to read drawings, understand the customer’s enquiry and quote accordingly is a necessity as the role will involve quoting non-branded products.
· A technical background with the ability to read drawings, understand the customer’s enquiry and quote accordingly is a necessity as the role will involve quoting non-branded products.
· Any experience in: Gaskets, valves (actuated and manual), flame arrestors, tank treatment, failsafe equipment, metering equipment, pipes, seals or pressure/temperature gauges would be preferrable.
· Confident
· Strong work ethic
· Technical knowledge and/or other foreign language skills might be of benefit
· Experience in a related role
